£20-30 base plus OTE

Our recruitment client is the market leader across the International Maritime and Shipping Industries.  They employ more than 90 professionals across a framework of offices in the UK, Houston and Singapore. The role:

  • Building professional relationships with existing clients
  • Expanding the current client base, usually via cold calling
  • Attracting candidates by using social media to head hunt, advertise and network
  • Managing the interview/selection processes for client and candidate
  • Negotiating salaries and terms and conditions
  • Researching the market place and industry
  • Attending industry specific conferences and exhibitions
  • Closing deals!

The person:

  • You will be degree qualified and/or have previous recruitment experience within the Professional/Corporate sector.
  • Knowledge of the Shipping industry would be a distinct advantage.
  • You must have a competitive edge and the desire to succeed in this fast paced industry.
  • You must be an influential and assertive communicator with a professional work ethic.
  • You will enjoy challenging situations where there is freedom to act and the authority to take decisions.
  • You will thrive on working to financial targets and will be independent, self-motivated, positive and able to plan and manage your time effectively in order to exceed those targets.

Our client offers a competitive basic salary (DOE) and excellent ‘on target earnings’ which are set 1 year in advance. They provide an achievable target and uncapped commission – with commission rates working on a rolling scale ranging from a minimum of 7.5% to a maximum of 30%, with additional bonus scheme.

  • Full 360 recruitment required to work the South Coast commercial/sales recruitment market
  • Face to face client and candidate meetings

The person

  • Must have prior commercial recruitment experience
  • Will be seasoned in account development and networking the client and candidate market via Linked IN and other routes
  • Be able to create and design adverts that continue to set you apart from the local competition
  • Have a consultative approach to clients and candidates which again sets you apart from other commercial recruitment providers

Set up over 15 years ago, our client is a leading specialist in the office support recruitment sector with an enviable reputation and a client list to match. With a stable team, we are looking to add an additional recruiter to the commercial temporary team due to the success of the past 12 months.

The role:

  • From day one you will be able to work on any live role within the business as ownership falls with candidates as opposed to clients
  • Undertaking both account management and also business development activity through contacting any old or lapsed clients to re-introduce the company services
  • Constantly looking at cross-selling opportunities to support the permanent recruitment team
  • Conducting service level reviews and reviewing existing terms of business to ensure that they are in line with company expectations
  • Representing the company in a professional manner at all times
  • Undertaking a proactive candidate search for each new assignment taken on – utilising linkedin and headhunting methods and sharing best practice with other recruiters in the business
  • Working in an existing team of 3 towards achieving monthly team targets and therefore commission

The person:

  • Ideally you will have recruitment experience but we will also be able to consider applications from those individuals with a strong sales and new business development background who may be looking for a break in to recruitment
  • Strong sales coupled with account management skills – and a customer is always right mentality
  • A strong team player
  • Results and target driven
  • You will need to drive with access to a vehicle in order to conduct regular client and candidate meetings
  • Excellent communication skills both written and spoke
