They focus on the IT and Technology sector with a particular emphasis on programme management, business analysts, project managers, software and cloud. Currently a team of 4 looking to hire a further 2 consultants to enhance the team.

The role:

  • This role has a strong focus on new business development and so we are looking for a proven door opener
  • Working alongside either the head of contract or perm depending upon experience, you will map out your target market and be guided if you are new to this sector
  • Developing relationships across the UK with key clients within your chosen market
  • Attending regular networking events and building a social media presence
  • Working towards output targets as opposed to KPIs

 

The person:

  • We are looking for a recruiter with a minimum of 12 months experience – sector we are very open although professional services would be a huge advantage
  • You must be able to look at the bigger picture and view a start-up company as a positive as opposed to a risk
  • We are looking for someone who is keen to work in a small and close knit team and doesn’t need to surround themselves with a team of 10 plus recruiters to feel motivated

Set up by two highly successful IT recruiters two years ago now, our client is looking to grow through hiring two new recruiters to their team. This is a business that has deliberately set out to be different from the big corporate feel where KPI’s are set loosely and recruiters are treated like grown-ups.

The role:

  • Working closely with the head of permanent recruitment to map out your market
  • Utilising intelligent and strategic business development techniques as opposed to cold calling
  • Building a talent pool of IT candidates across the South Coast
  • Networking and market mapping
  • Successfully delivering a recruitment solution that is tailored to the client’s needs
  • Running your own desk without the pressure of weekly KPIs – being treated like an adult

The person:

  • Ideally you will have upwards of 18 months recruitment experience gained within professional services such as IT, accountancy, marketing, HR
  • A strong focus on business development as you must be able to build relationships as opposed to inheriting a warm desk
  • A strong team player who can look at the longer term objectives of a business and work in such a way as to benefit your team overall
  • Professional with integrity and a real focus on quality
  • A strong track record in recruitment and a stable career to date

Candidate attraction manager

Candidate attraction manager – white collar

Circa £25-30k

My client appreciates that in order to be successful recruiters, the business needs a dedicated candidate attraction manager to support them through providing a continuous flow of personally selected and sourced design engineering candidates. They work on an exclusive basis with all clients, placing only the top 10% of candidates and they won’t be sitting on job boards!

The role:

  • Gaining an indepth understanding of the market sector, researching and reading articles to become a true subject matter expert
  • Taking full responsibility for the company linkedin account, utilising this as a method of researching and approaching suitable candidates
  • Providing ideas on new methods for finding hard to reach candidates
  • Making initial approach calls before introducing passive candidates to the directors who will then engage with those individuals to ascertain best fit for their clients
  • Attending relevant networking events and promoting the business

The person:

  • Ideally you will have exposure to recruitment and understand the recruitment process from start to finish
  • If you have proven proactive recruitment sourcing skills, even better
  • A confident telephone manner
  • Willing to learn and read up on your industry to become an expert
  • Happy to work in a small but growing team, accountable to two owners /directors
  • Commutable to Fareham with access to a car

Engineering recruitment consultant

Engineering / Technology recruiter

Basic up to £25k plus up to 50% commission

Our client has been operating for over two years now and boasts a strong and solid team of 5. Recruiters are treated like adults in a non KPI environment with no daily meetings or 1-1’s, just the tools to do the job and a handsome reward in the form of up to 50% commmission.

The role:

  • Initially you will be given some warm roles to recruit for to get yourself started and for these fills you could earn up to 30% commission
  • Carving out your own market within the engineering technology market but adopting a full service mentality where you will build credibility and trust with the client to take on a variety of roles whether that be procurement, HR, IT, engineering, sales etc (last year this made up a chunk of the overall revenue)
  • Managing your own desk, your own diary as if it were your own business. This role would NOT suit someone looking for a daily hand holding
  • Working towards a £10k monthly target through the placement of permanent and /or contract candidates

The person:

  • With upwards of three years recruitment experience and a proven track record of new business development
  • Ideally you will have a working knowledge of the engineering /technology or manufacturing industry
  • A self-starter. There is NO management structure in place and therefore you must be self-motivated and able to stand on your own two feet
  • Self-managing as you will have flexibility around hours and managing your own client meetings
  • A strong networker
  • A key team player as the commission scheme benefits cross-selling, sharing of candidates and clients
