Our client is a leading player in the engineering industry sector with a 15 year history of working in niche engineering markets. They are undergoing a period of intense growth strengthening both their contract and also permanent teams and we have an opportunity for an experienced recruiter to join their water division.

The role:

  • Working very closely with a contract recruiter you will develop new clients in the industrial water treatment industry UK wide seeking out permanent recruitment roles
  • Developing relationships through cold calling and also conducting face to face client meetings
  • Representing the brand in a professional manner and maintaining high levels of quality over quantity
  • Creating a talent pool of candidates UK wide
  • Utilising search methods to seek out hard to find candidates
  • Working towards monthly revenue targets

The person:

  • For this role we are looking for a seasoned recruiter with upwards of 2 years experience
  • Whilst water recruitment experience is not essential, we would ideally like to talk to engineering recruiters or those from a more technical background
  • You will need to immerse yourself in the industry and take a real interest in reading articles, blogs, joining relevant groups etc to set yourself apart as a true expert in your field
  • Confident approach to be able to liaise at director level
  • A team player is essential as you will be working closely with your contract counterpart
  • A stable recruitment career is essential as this role does require time and effort to develop

With a local network of branches, they have built an unrivalled reputation and provide staffing solutions from administration level up to senior including CFO. The Portsmouth office is now looking to hire due to expansion and we are looking for a recruiter who is keen to join a professional services brand

The role:

  • You will focus on what we call the transactional level of accountancy recruitment, which is generally salary levels up to around £30k. This incorporates roles such as accounts assistant, payroll clerk, purchase ledger etc
  • Clients are split alphabetically to ensure that you have a wide range of clients to work with and to build relationships with inside your geographical patch
  • Meeting clients is of paramount importance as is making the time to interview your candidates face to face both in the office and at preferred locations
  • Building up your desk to ensure that you have a consistent flow of both temporary and also permanent vacancies to work on and can provide a dual desk solution to your clients enabling them to have one point of contact
  • Working with your fellow team members to cross-sell and identifying leads for more senior roles which are then passed over to be managed

The person:

  • You will have upwards of 12 months recruitment experience ideally within professional services such as accountancy, HR, procurement, legal, IT
  • Your recruitment experience to date will have seen you conducting face to face meetings as opposed to pure telephone based sales and interviews
  • A stable CV is highly important to demonstrate commitment and resilience
  • Whilst a degree is not essential, a high level of education must be demonstrated through good GCSE /A – Level grades
  • You will need to drive for this position and have access to your own vehicle
  • A strong communicator with excellent written and spoken word

Trainee recruitment consultant

Do you currently work in business to business or B2C sales? Are you tired of selling the same old product and yearn for some variety in your day and the ability to alter your sales pitch? If so, recruitment could be a great avenue you for you to take your experience to date

The company:

We are working with a client based in Portsmouth who we have now partnered for over 10 years and can provide evidence of placing a number of key personnel within their business. They are now looking to hire a number of trainee recruiters within the following market sectors:

  • IT and Technology
  • Procurement and supply chain
  • Engineering
  • Electronics and software
  • Marine and shipping
  • Medical and nursing
  • Pharmaceutical
  • Social care

The role:

You will receive full training as part of a new trainee academy, that will teach you all aspects of the full 360 recruitment role from how to win a vacancy through to sourcing and selecting candidates and then closing and delivering job offers. You will work closely with a senior director and will then be paired up in a buddy system where you will receive continuous on the job training and development. It’s a great environment, you just need to be committed to transferring your sales skills and you certainly can’t be phone shy.

The person:

So far we have placed candidates on to the academy who have worked in car sales, software sales, leisure and fitness sales, telecoms sales and also estate agency. To be honest, it doesn’t matter so much what you have been selling, it’s more about your willingness to move in to a new industry and to be committed to make it work. We will also consider 2016 and 2017 graduates who can demonstrate either sales or customer service skills through jobs held whilst studying at University.
