We are working with a business that was set up around 18 months ago by a small team of highly successful engineering recruiters who wanted to build something of their own. Already they can boast a highly successful weekly contract book and the business is set to continue to achieve it’s growth plan over the next 12 months.

The role:

  • Working as a candidate resourcer supporting the successful white collar MEP division (mechanical, electrical and plumbing)
  • You will take a proactive approach in sourcing candidates and ensuring that you take them through a detailed screening process
  • Matching candidates to existing roles and discussing suitable applicants with the recruitment consultant
  • Utilising a plethora of tools at your disposal including linkedin, job boards, social media, networking, candidate referrals and asking each candidate “who do you know”
  • Gaining an indepth understanding of your market in order to present yourself as a subject matter expert
  • Working in a team environment where you will adopt an attitude of “roll up your sleeves” and help out with other duties or on other divisions as and when required

The person:

  • A great opportunity for someone looking to break in to recruitment
  • As a minimum we are looking for a grade B and above at GCSE maths level
  • You may have some customer service or phone experience or literally be looking for your first official role out of college
  • A confident individual who thrives under pressure and can work comfortably in a team environment
  • A naturally motivated individual, perhaps you have excelled at team sports
  • Financially driven – that is often the thing that “gets you up in the morning” and keeps you going in a tough sales environment
  • Excellent at building relationships with outstanding communication skills

Basic £25-35k plus commission

Our client has a history spanning 10 years plus of recruiting within the blue collar construction sector across the South. With strong teams who focus on M&E, trades and labour, maintenance, it was only natural that the next stage of growth would be to introduce a white collar permanent construction division. At the beginning of the year a highly experienced director was secured and they can now boast 8 consultants in 4 locations. We are looking to add to that team in Whiteley with 3 additional hires within residential, M&E and construction.

The role:

  • You will work closely with the director, senior consultant and also the blue collar team to map out key clients to build relationships with across the South
  • Conducting intelligent business development calls utilising candidate marketing as opposed to yellow pages cold calling
  • Visiting clients face to face to build long term relationships and to be visible to your hiring managers
  • Managing your own desk and working towards a £10k per month target
  • Planning your own day as this is not a business with a heavy focus on KPIs

The person:

  • An experienced recruitment consultant with upwards of 12 months experience and ideally on a permanent desk
  • An understanding of the construction /technical market would be advantageous
  • Able to demonstrate that you can build long term relationships with a focus on doing what is right for both candidate and client
  • Exposure to conducting face to face meetings with both candidates and clients
  • A strong team player who can work closely with other team members to cross-sell opportunities

A global provider of recruitment services across Engineering, IT and professional services, we have been recruiting for this company now for 15 years! Due to high levels of roles coming in, they are now looking to hire a number of resourcers to join high performing teams within utilities and industrial


The role:

  • Your main focus is to facilitate the recruitment process through proactive search and selection of suitable candidates
  • Gain an understanding of client requirements, reading through job descriptions in order to equip you with the knowledge to successful seek out relevant candidates
  • Create and build talent pools for future reference
  • Generate leads and pass to the relevant consultant
  • Develop proactive skills in searching through headhunting, linkedin, networking and gaining referrals
  • Deliver job offers to candidates and close the process dealing with any contract and term negotiations
  • Work closely with your manager and team

The person:

  • You will ideally have telephone experience whether that be sales, telesales, customer service etc
  • Strong communication skills
  • A car owner is essential due to the location of the role
  • A strong team player who has worked in an office environment
  • Able to multi-task and work under pressure
  • Committed to a career in recruitment with a strong understanding of what will be involved
