The role:

Two years ago, my client had a booming oil and gas division with consultants billing over £150k per year. Unfortunately, the oil and gas market worldwide took a dramatic drop and as a result many recruiters exited the industry. The good news is, all signs are positive to show that the market is on the up! As a result, our client is now seeing a steady stream of vacancies and therefore would like to capitalise upon this market trend and rebuild an oil and gas division.

  • Building professional relationships with existing clients
  • Expanding the current client base through intelligent recruiting and not phone bashing
  • Attracting candidates utilising a variety of methods including using social media to head hunt, advertising and networking, building your own reputation
  • Managing the interview/selection processes for client and candidate from initial screen to candidate placement
  • Negotiating salaries and terms and conditions within specified guidelines
  • Researching the market place and industry
  • Attending industry specific conferences and exhibitions
  • Above all else, truly immersing yourself in your market keeping up to date with industry news and changes

The person:

  • Ideally you will be degree educated but this is not essential
  • We are specifically looking for recruitment experience within the technical or engineering market, or someone who has a genuine interest in the oil and gas market
  • You will be someone who thrives on achieving targets and working towards company and personal goals
  • Ideally you will be looking for an opportunity to grow and manage a division and to step in to a team leader role in the near future

The role:

As part of a highly experienced maritime division, we are now looking for an experienced recruiter to join and to focus on placing shipping professionals into technical and commercial positions such as superintendent, chartering, operations, broking and trade support. This is an outstanding opportunity to work with warm clients and to focus on recruiting for some of the most prestigious Ship Owners and Operators, Trading Organisations and Oil Majors across the EMEA Region. This is a full 360 role where you will see yourself:

My client has been providing recruitment services for over 35 years building an enviable reputation and track record, combined with unparalleled market knowledge.    They offer a unique recruitment service in Accountancy and Finance and Practice recruitment within a wide geographical patch, with over 250 years combined recruitment experience on board!!

The role:

  • A full 360 recruiter position, specialising within the Practice sector, supporting a wide South Coast geographical patch, alongside a small team of experienced Practice recruiters.
  • Existing business available plus the opportunity to build new business and expand existing accounts.
  • Full candidate networking using a variety of available tools, which include Linked IN, a variety of JOB BOARDS, attending networking events relevant to the Practice market, utilising marketing campaigns and all other traditional candidate attractions methods.
  • Attending client meetings to promote company business and scope new opportunities and promote other divisions, where relevant.
  • Report company figures and work alongside other divisions within the branch and whole business to collaboratively work towards company targets.

The person:

  • Experienced recruiter is essential, ideally Practice however other professional services sectors will be considered.
  • Someone who is able to demonstrate CV stability and discuss billing history.
  • Live within a commutable distance to the office, either Portsmouth or Southampton
  • Have a ‘can do’ attitude with a strong personality to work alongside an already well established team of recruiters.
  • Drive and have a car!
  • Have a good command of English and be able to write strong adverts in what is a highly competitive candidate market!

Up to £28k basic plus commission up to 30% and additional quarterly top-up

Set up over 10 years ago now, the company can now boast 4 office locations (one overseas), over 40 employees and managers who are proof that long-term careers will be offered and opportunities will be presented.

The role:

  • Working alongside two highly successful construction white collar permanent recruiters who focus on the residential market, your role will be to break in to these clients and to provide contract staffing solutions
  • With a heavy emphasis on face to face contact, you will attend meetings and pitches together ensuring that you provide the client with a full end to end solution
  • Covering the Hampshire, West Sussex, Dorset and Thames Valley region, you will have warm existing clients to build relationships with
  • Covering all disciplines to incorporate site, building and commercial
  • Working in a close knit-team you will share leads and ideas and work together with your colleagues

The person:

  • To be able to be considered you will ideally be an existing construction recruiter with a strong contract background
  • Alternatively you may be a contract recruiter who is keen to move in to the fast pace and currently very busy residential market sector
  • A driver with your own car or a full clean driving licence is essential
  • Proven sales experience and evidence of face to face selling as opposed to pure telephone based recruitment
  • Polished and presentable and able to manage relationships at a senior director level
