Recruitment operations manager

Engineering – Southampton city based

Up to £60k basic depending upon experience

Are you a recruitment manager with a passion for developing people and teams? Do you have white collar technical or engineering experience and a solid understanding of both permanent processes and contract recruiting? Our client is looking for someone to take over the day to day management of a solid team of recruiters and take responsibility for driving performance.

The role:

  • Managing a team of circa 8 recruiters who vary from 6 months to 5 years in experience
  • Responsible for the day to day management of the team – leading by example in business development and client delivery
  • Monitoring individual and team performance and implementing processes to ensure regular and relative reviews of performance
  • Attending client meetings with staff to lead from the front
  • Reporting in to a managing director on a weekly basis with eventual responsibility for the full P&L
  • Demonstrating indepth knowledge and experience of the white collar engineering market sector
  • Contributing a nominal amount in terms of billing most likely on a specific desk to be defined

The person:

  • Strong management and coaching skills in a recruitment environment
  • Knowledge of and experienced in recruiting in the engineering market sector
  • Team leader with a proven background in training and developing all levels
  • Able to build rapport with existing team and to demonstrate value to their development
